Kyrgyzstani Maria Kolesnikova wins UN’s 2021 Champions of Earth Award
Maria Kolesnikova, head of MoveGreen environmental organization, has won the prestigious UN’s 2021 Champions of Earth Award. She told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, this is the highest award of the UN in the field of environmental protection. The award was established in 2005, since then more than 100 people have received it. Four women were awarded this year.
"I'm the youngest laureate of the award this year, it's a very valuable award in our field. It gives our organization more significance, global and national recognition - I am happy about this fact," Maria Kolesnikova said.
