Melis Turganbaev becomes head of Wrestling Federation
President of Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan was elected at its extraordinary conference. The Federation reported on Instagram.
Melis Turganbaev was elected the President of Federation by unanimous decision until 2024.
Earlier, he was a Vice President of the Wrestling Federation, since 2021 — Member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Wrestling Council UWW-Asia, curator of UWW-Asia for Central Asia.
Melis Turganbaev is a former Interior Minister, ex-head of the State Penitentiary Service.
Almaz Bekboev was elected Vice President of the Wrestling Federation.
Former head of the Federation Sharshenbek Abdykerimov resigned in November.
