Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan to revise electricity rates by March 2022
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan will revise electricity rates by March 1, 2022. The President Sadyr Japarov gave such an order at a meeting of the Security Council.
He urged the Cabinet of Ministers to take into account the interests of socially vulnerable segments of the population when developing the medium-term electricity rates.
«The mid-term rates should be developed by March 1 next year and approved, but the measures should not cause additional problems for the population. We must protect the interests of the vulnerable population. We cannot allow such situation when our citizens spend their entire salary on payment of electricity bills,» Sadyr Japarov said.
