Akylbek Japarov discusses work of border checkpoints with Ambassador of China
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov discussed investment cooperation with the Ambassador of China Du Dewen. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral multifaceted partnership, including the export of Kyrgyz agricultural products to the PRC markets, an increase in the throughput of trucks through Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints, completion of the construction of the North-South highway and use of grants issued by the Chinese government for irrigation and reconstruction of city roads.
«Kyrgyzstan considers the PRC as one of the main trade and investment partners and is interested in the development of mutual trade, implementation of joint projects. We need to increase our trade. The Cabinet of Ministers is ready to guarantee safety of investors,» Akylbek Japarov said.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen noted the commitment to further development and strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, emphasizing the mutual trust and interaction established between the states.
