National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducts record-setting intervention
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan entered the foreign exchange market for the first time in November with intervention. Website of the central bank of the country reports.
It sold $55.4 million with settlements different from the date of the transaction. This is one of the largest interventions in the past six months.
Since the beginning of 2021, the National Bank has intervened 10 times, selling $454,350,000.
The National Bank conducts interventions to stabilize the situation in the foreign exchange market.
