Sadyr Japarov promises no lawsuits against media
«There is freedom of speech, you can walk freely,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at a meeting with media representatives on the occasion of the Information and Press Day.
According to him, no one will infringe on the rights and persecute journalists.
Answering a question about the law by Gulshat Asylbaeva, the head of state promised not to sue journalists. He also assured that none of the members of the Cabinet of Ministers will sue the media.
«Write what you want, the Cabinet will not sue you. I guarantee,» Sadyr Japarov said.
In August 2021, President Sadyr Japarov signed the controversial law of the deputy Gulshat Asylbaeva on Protection from Inaccurate (False) Information on August 23.
