Customs officers detained in Bishkek for smuggling
Customs officers involved in smuggling were detained in Bishkek. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Two officials of Kara-Balta customs clearance point of Severnaya railway customs were detained on the fact of economic smuggling by ALG LLC.
Three trucks were detained in the capital on August 17, which, being on the territory of Kara-Balta customs clearance point with consumer goods — Turkish branded clothing, left for Bishkek without going through customs procedures.
According to transit declarations, the seized cargo was declared as textiles, which are subject to customs clearance at a lower rate than goods in the form of branded clothing.
As a result of the criminal actions of the employees of the State Customs Service, the state suffered damage in the amount of more than 8 million soms.
