Wearing of masks is mandatory in Bishkek schools
MP Elnura Duishekeeva asked at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Social Issues of the Bishkek City Council what security measures would be observed in schools due to COVID-19.
According to Deputy Mayor of the capital Victoria Mozgacheva, each school will have rugs, they will be soaked in disinfectants. «The premises will be regularly disinfected and ventilated. There will be sanitizers in the classrooms,» she replied.
Victoria Mozgacheva noted that wearing of masks would be mandatory. «We have overcrowded schools, so we cannot ensure the distancing, this information was sent to the Cabinet of Ministers,» she added.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science reported that wearing of masks in schools is optional in the new academic year.
