Convicts serving sentences in PRC handed over to Kyrgyzstan
Two convicted citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were serving long prison sentences in China, were delivered to Bishkek. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The agreement on the transfer of Kyrgyzstan’s citizens was reached as a result of joint work of the Foreign Ministry, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Beijing and the Chinese side. The prisoners were handed over to representatives of the State Service for Punishment Execution in Urumqi.
In the near future, it is planned to transfer another convicted Kyrgyzstani from China.
