Stele depicting Chingiz Aitmatov opened in Bishkek
A stele depicting the writer, presented by a Russian sculptor Ivan Dubrovin, was opened at the entrance to the Russian Drama Theater named after Chingiz Aitmatov in Bishkek.
The project started a year ago. The stele is a collective work of a Kyrgyz sculptor and Russian foundry workers.
According to the initiator of the installation of the object, producer and public figure Assol Moldokmatova, this is not the first their joint project. Before the opening of the World Nomad Games, a sculptural composition «Farewell, Gulsary!» was installed at the hippodrome.
