U.S. dollar continues to fall in price in Kyrgyzstan. Since the beginning of the week, its exchange rate has fallen by other 5-10 tyiyns.
Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy the dollars for 69.5-69.6 soms, and sell — for 69.7-69.75 soms. The nominal rate is set by the National Bank at 69,6729 soms (0.01 percent drop for a day).
Together with falling price of the dollar, the exchange rate of the Russian ruble remains relatively high. It costs 1,081-1.1 soms.
The situation in the foreign exchange market forced the National Bank to intervene for the first time in three months at the beginning of April. It totally sold $ 22.8 million.
