208 crimes registered in the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan
At least 208 crimes were registered in the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan in 2018. Report of the Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Otkurbek Dzhamshitov on the state of law and work of the prosecutor's office says.
In 2018, there were 355 criminal cases pending at the bodies of the Military Prosecutor's Office. At least 91.4 percent of the criminal cases were sent to court. 84 officers, 92 contract servicemen, 25 conscripts, 19 military officers and 30 civilians who were accomplices in the crimes committed by military personnel were brought to criminal responsibility. At least 797 criminal cases fall into the category of grave crimes, 13 - especially grave crimes.
