Almost 2,000 Kyrgyzstanis imprisoned in other countries
There are 1,880 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in prisons of other states. The Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Otkurbek Dzhamshitov announced at the meeting of the Parliament.
Deputies consider the report of the Prosecutor General on the state of law in Kyrgyzstan in 2018 and on the work of the prosecutor’s office.
«At least 1,054 people are serving their sentences in Russia, in Kazakhstan — 200, in China — 18, Germany — 14, Turkey — 8. Other 124 people have been extradited to serve their sentences in Kyrgyzstan,» Otkurbek Dzhamshitov said.
