About 12 people file torture complaints in 1st quarter of 2019
At least 12 people filed complaints of torture in the first quarter of 2019 in Kyrgyzstan. Voice of Freedom human rights organization told 24.kg news agency.
According to the organization, there are 88 controlled facts about prohibited interrogation methods.
The investigating bodies of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic consider criminal cases on seven complaints against law enforcement officers. At least four court sentences were passed on these articles for 2018-2019.
