U.S. dollar falls in price by 10 tyiyns in Kyrgyzstan
Over the past seven days, the U.S. dollar has fallen in price by 10 tyiyns in Kyrgyzstan, while exchange rate of the Russian ruble grew.
Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy the dollars for 69.55-69.7 soms and sell — for 69.75-69.8 soms. The nominal rate of the National Bank is 69.8 soms (0.06 percent drop for a day).
At the same time, the exchange rate of the Russian ruble slightly increased (by 5-10 tyins) in the foreign exchange market. Today it is bought for 1,076-1,083 soms, and sold — for 1.09-1.1 soms.
The situation in the foreign exchange market at the beginning of April forced the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan to conduct an intervention for the first time in three months. It totally sold $ 22.8 million.
