Migrants transfer $ 344.6 million to Kyrgyzstan for 2 months of 2019
In January-February 2019, the inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan reached $ 344.6 million. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Compared with the first two months of 2018, the figure grew by $ 34.5 million. At the same time, in February, migrants have transferred $ 179.4 million to the country. Over the month, the figure grew by $14.2 million.
USA take the second place in terms of money transfers with $ 4.3 million. Other countries transferred other $ 1.9 million to Kyrgyzstan.
In January-February 2019, there was also an outflow of funds of $ 74.8 million. The main share of the money was transferred to Russia — $ 74.3 million.
In 2018, the inflow of remittances to the republic amounted to $ 2,685.3 billion. At least $ 542.2 million were transferred from Kyrgyzstan to other states. Net inflow of remittances into the country amounted to $2,143.1 billion.
