Kyrgyzstan to introduce International Travel ID
International Travel ID, or «passport of a tourist» will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan. Director of the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Maksat Damir uulu, posted on Facebook.
He told that every tourist entering Kyrgyzstan would get a card with a QR code at checkpoints in the country.
«Having scanned it by a mobile phone, a person automatically enters an electronic tourist information center (TIC), where he or she will get full information about Kyrgyzstan and the tourist opportunities of our country. They will also be able to use the loyalty program from service providers (tour operators, hotels, restaurants, taxis, banks). In addition, a tourist can report about himself or herself in case of emergency situations,» he posted.
