Thunderstorms forecasted in Kyrgyzstan
Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan sent out a message about a sharp weather change.
Unstable weather is expected on April 10-12: rains are expected in most of the territory of the republic, thunderstorms — in some areas, and snow — in high-mountainous areas. Intense precipitations are forecasted in some areas of Osh and Jalal-Abad regions. Packed snow, ice will cover highland sections of the roads. Increase of the western wind to 15-20 meters per second and a drop in daytime air temperature are forecasted.
Descend of avalanches is expected on April 8 in mountainous areas and on Bishkek — Osh (Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel passes), Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya (Chapchyma pass), Karakol — Enilchek (Chon-Ashu pass) roads.
When driving through avalanche-prone areas, it is necessary to strictly keep 500 meters distance between vehicles.
