100,000 people take part in the Global Money Week for 4 years
About 100,000 people have been covered in the framework of the Global Money Week for the previous four years. Chairperson of the Board of the Institute for Development Policy, Nadezhda Dobretsova, told today at a press conference.
According to her, mainly children and young people participated in the campaigns. The main goal is to draw attention to the need to be financially literate in order to become fulfilled person.
«Now it’s worth thinking about creation of sustainable institutions and channels for ensuring financial literacy on an ongoing basis. This topic should not be forgotten. For several years, the National Bank has been implementing a program to increase the population’s literacy. This suggests that the state attaches special importance to the issue. We need to work in this direction, including through the education system. It is important for the schoolchildren and students to get knowledge as part of their studies,» Nadezhda Dobretsova stressed.
