Safe City: Number of fines for traffic rules violations increased almost 6 times
Number of traffic violations in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 37.5 percent. The Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kashkar Dzhunushaliev stated today at a government meeting.
According to him, 39,793 traffic violations have been recorded after the launch of Safe City project.
«This is 37.5 percent less than a month before the launch. Also, the number of people injured in traffic accidents reduced by 44.4 percent,» added Kashkar Dzhunushaliev.
According to him, since the launch of the project, 14,365 protocols for 20,224 million soms have been drawn up.
«Earlier, the amount of fines for a month was at the level of 3.5 million soms. After the launch of Safe City, 36 percent of the fines have already been paid. They were paid by those who took advantage of the payment discount within 15 days,» the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.
