Bishkek to host Immortal Regiment march in new format
Immortal Regiment march in Bishkek will be held in a new format. Vice Mayor of the capital Tatyana Kuznetsova told today at a press conference.
According to her, the march will traditionally take place on May 9 at 10.00. Its participants will start moving from D. Asanov park. The length of the route is 6.6 kilometers.
Bishkek will host Immortal Regiment march for the fifth time. In 2014, about 1,000 people participated in it. Last year, the number of participants increased to 45,000 people.
The deputy of the City Council, Valentina Lisnichenko, added that another campaign would be launched as a part of the march. «Participants lack musical accompaniment. We want to offer a new campaign «Support Immortal Regiment with music.» Everyone who has windows facing Abdrakhmanov Street can turn on patriotic music,» she explained.
The march will take place not only in the capital, but also in other settlements. Deputies of the Bishkek City Council sent letters to 31 cities and towns of Kyrgyzstan to start Immortal Regiment march simultaneously at 10.00.
