Venera Dzhumataeva becomes acting Regional Director of Radio Liberty
Venera Dzhumataeva was appointed an acting Regional Director of Radio Liberty programs (RFE / RL) for Central Asia. She herself confirmed the information.
According to her, she temporarily replaces the previous director. «This is temporary. By law, a competition will be announced. Anyone can participate. I have not yet decided whether I will participate, since I like my current post,» Venera Dzhumataeva said.
Venera Dzhumataeva has been working in the central office of Radio Liberty in Prague since 2001. In 2010, she was appointed Director of Azattyk Kyrgyz Service in Prague.
Her duties as director of the Kyrgyz service of RFE / RL are temporarily performed by Gulaiym Ashakeeva.
Former RFE / RL Program Director for Central Asia Abbas Javadi retired.
