Edil Baisalov becomes rector of Diplomatic Academy
Former Deputy Minister of Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov became a rector of the Diplomatic Academy. He confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
Earlier, the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Affairs Ministry was headed by Chinara Adamkulova. She was appointed to another post. Edil Baisalov does not yet tell what he intends to begin his work with as the rector of the Diplomatic Academy, but he admits that the academy needs reforms.
Edil Baisalov is formerly known human rights activist. He was a Deputy Minister of Social Development. After the events on April 7, 2010, he headed the headquarters of the head of the interim government in Kyrgyzstan, Roza Otunbayeva. He is active on Twitter and gives comments to the media. He calls himself a true social democrat and expresses harsh criticism against the former President Almazbek Atambayev.
