Deputies propose to tighten electoral law for political parties in Kyrgyzstan
Political parties registered less than a year before the parliamentary elections will not be able to participate in them. Members of Onuguu-Progress parliamentary faction propose the amendments to the electoral legislation.
According to the authors, such restrictions will help to avoid appearance of one-day parties and splitting of the existing ones. In addition, it is forbidden to create political parties whose goals or actions are aimed at overthrowing, violent change of the constitutional order of the republic, undermining sovereignty and violation of the integrity of the country’s territory.
Creation of political organizations on the basis of professional, social, racial, national, ethnic, regional or religious affiliation, as well as depending on the sex and origin of citizens is not allowed.
