About 100 heavy trucks accumulated at Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhniy checkpoint on Kyrgyzstan — Kazakhstan border. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
The Kazakh side explains the situation by the fight against smuggling of goods.
"Kazakhstan has introduced additional checks by the veterinary and tax services. The Kazakh side spends about 15 minutes on check of each vehicle at the checkpoint. We ask drivers of heavy trucks to cross the border at other checkpoints, but they still go through Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhniy, the Border Service said.
