Status of Russian military base in Kyrgyzstan to change
Status of the Russian military airbase in Kyrgyzstan will change. Daniyar Sydykov, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, told today at a press conference.
According to him, at present, a protocol on changing the status of the Russian military base is being prepared in the field of military cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. «Negotiations are underway and are nearing completion. I cannot reveal details. They will be known as soon as the negotiations are completed. The document will be signed within Vladimir Putin’s visit,» said Daniyar Sydykov.
He added that the issue of opening the second military base was not on the agenda of the talks between the two presidents.
