Cameras within 2nd phase of Safe City project being prepared for connection
Cameras for recording violations of the traffic rules within the second phase of Safe City project are being prepared for connection. Vega Radio Engineering Corporation informed 24.kg news agency.
As of today, all planned intersections and lines are connected to power supply and fiber-optic communication. Certified equipment is delivered to Bishkek. It passes customs clearance and is sent to installation sites.
To speed up the work, three contractor teams are also involved in installation. The estimated time for launching the cameras is by March 31, for all intersections within the second phase — ten days.
As Vega Corporation explained, delay in coordination has led to an imbalance in the rhythm of deliveries of high-tech equipment.
In order to avoid such situations at the remaining stages of the project, Vega is already contracting equipment for the subsequent phases. This will allow to complete installation of the equipment as a whole under the Safe City project 10-15 days ahead of schedule.
Recall, cameras had to start working at nine intersections in Bishkek by March 12. However, the dates have been rescheduled.
