Abay Street in Bishkek to be closed for repairs
Road works begin in Bishkek city. Abay Street will be closed for repairs. Press service of the Bishkek City Administration reports.
The area between Mederov and Gorky Streets will be closed on March 25. It is planned to replace the roadway and install new curbs there. Works will last until May 15. One can pass the site by using Panfilov and Tynystanov Streets.
Abay will be the first of six streets that will be repaired this year under Restoration of Road Surface of Bishkek project.
The list also includes Nurkamal, Toktogul, Altymyshev (Remeslennaya), Repin and Zhaiyl Baatyr Streets.
Roads in the capital are repaired under two projects. At least 60 streets will be repaired in 2018-2019 in the framework of the second phase of Development of Bishkek Road Network project.
