Smuggled rice for over 600,000 soms detained in Kyrgyzstan
Illegal import of a large batch of rice was revealed in Osh. The State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Customs officers detained Mercedes-Benz 1223 truck. At least 150 bags of long-grain white rice weighing 50 kilograms each were found. The total weight of the product was 7.5 tons, and its cost is estimated at 637,500 soms.
«The goods are illegally imported from a neighboring state. The collected materials on the case were sent to the prosecutor’s office of Osh region,» the State Customs Service stressed.
