According to the head of Sezim Crisis Center Bubusara Ryskulova, activists collected signatures to close gambling establishments.
«We have achieved adoption of the law. At the same time, the gambling business went underground. We receive many threats, we were threatened, they wrote letters to our donor. It’s getting worse now. Laws don’t work. Gamblers lose not only money, but also children,» she said.
The activists appealed to the president of the country and the deputies of the Parliament, but there was no answer.
«Casinos operate opposite the District Internal Affairs Department. Everyone knows about it and does nothing. Gambling addicts are sick people, socially dangerous. We want to close the underground gambling establishments by organizing public control,» Bubusara Ryskulova added.
