President Jeenbekov intends to achieve simplified visa regime with China
Kyrgyzstan will seek a simplified visa regime with the People’s Republic of China. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at a meeting with ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan.
The head of state noted that it was necessary to strengthen work on attracting direct investment from China, implementation of joint projects and establishing interregional ties.
«It is very important to achieve a simplified visa regime for our citizens,» he said.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov stressed that there were forces willing to hinder bilateral Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation.
«We will not allow this,» the president said.
Xi Jinping’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan is expected in the summer of 2019.
