51 percent of Kyrgyz pensioners get pensions on bank accounts
At least 329,300 people get pensions through accounts in commercial banks, which is 51 percent of the total number of pensioners in Kyrgyzstan. The National Bank of the country reports.
Some 2.4 million payment cards were issued in 2018. Over the year, the figure grew by 20 percent. Half of the amount are cards of the national system Elcard. At least 121,200 people, or 42 percent of the total number, receive social payments through bank payment cards.
«It is planned to increase the number of ATMs, POS-terminals, payment terminals and bank kiosks, which will be placed mainly in the regions of the republic, during 2018-2022,» the National Bank reported.
