Wheat acres to be reduced by 28,000 hectares in Kyrgyzstan in 2019
Wheat acres will decrease by 28,000 hectares — to 241,500 — in Kyrgyzstan in 2019. The First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov announced today at a meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, farmers cut acres of low-profit crops and increase areas for exported ones. This year, they will increase the area of tobacco, beet and perennial crops.
«At least 11 priority directions in agriculture were determined in 2019, including milk, meat, wool, raspberries, cotton, currants. We signed an agreement with Uzbekistan on the supply of 100,000 tons of mineral fertilizers. As of today, 46,300 tons have been supplied for spring field work. Fuel availability is 52 percent. Diesel fuel will be sold for 45 soms per liter. There will be no problems with it this year,» Kubatbek Boronov assured.
