National Bank of Kyrgyzstan checks QIWI payment operator
National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducts a scheduled comprehensive inspection of the United Instant Payments System LLC (UIPS LLC, QIWI payment operator) from February 1, 2019. Press service of the bank informed 24.kg news agency.
The check is conducted in accordance with the previously approved inspection plan. At the same time, according to decision of a court, the company’s accounts in commercial banks were blocked following a request from one of the owners of UIPS LLC. Since March 1 of this year, the National Bank has recommended UIPS LLC to temporarily suspend acceptance of payments for goods and services in favor of third parties through payment systems.
«UIPS LLC has funds, however, due to the fact that the company’s accounts were blocked, it became difficult to repay obligations to suppliers of goods / services from current accounts. The possibility of payment will be resumed after removal of the block from the organization’s accounts. At the same time, a decision on the activities of UIPS LLC under the licenses will be made based on results of an audit in accordance with the banking legislation of Kyrgyzstan,» the bank summed up.
