Released political prisoners declare support for Sooronbai Jeenbekov
Bektur Asanov, former governor of Jalal-Abad region and Kubanychbek Kadyrov, ex-deputy of the Parliament from SDPK party, convicted for attempt to forcibly seize power, intend to participate in the big-time politics of Kyrgyzstan. They stated this today at a press conference in 24.kg news agency.
According to them, they support the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov and believe that the fight against corruption is now being conducted correctly and in all directions.
Bektur Asanov and Kubanychbek Kadyrov also state that if they fail to remove conviction from their criminal records by 2020 and participate in parliamentary elections, they will support one of the political parties. The participants of the press conference did not specify its name.
Bektur Asanov and Kubanychbek Kadyrov were convicted for attempt to forcibly seize power. Both were released on parole.
