Kyrgyzstanis win 16 medals at Taekwondo ITF Championship in Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstanis won 16 medals at Taekwondo ITF Open Championship in Kazakhstan. President of Taekwondo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Vitaly Oleynichenko told.
The tournament took place in Almaty and was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. More than 300 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan participated in it. The Kyrgyz Republic was represented by athletes from Bishkek, Balykchy and Osh cities. They won three gold, five silver and eight bronze medals.
Elzada Matieva, Akdil Zaiyrbekov and Danila Blinkov became champions in their categories. Islam Shaiev, Sanzhar Demerbekov, Danila Blinkov and Elzada Matieva won silver medals. Adilet Ashirbekov, Umar Samudunov, Arlen Cherikbaev, Joomart Keneshov, Dilmurat Medinov, Ariet Kasymov and Elaman Abdurasulov took the third places. Kyrgyzstanis took the second place in team competitions.
