Kyrgyzstan to exempt some agricultural products from VAT
In order to create favorable conditions for development of agroindustrial complex, the deputies of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan propose amendments to the Tax Code of Kyrgyzstan. The document was submitted for public discussion.
It is proposed to exempt breeding farm animals and seed materials, bees, seedlings, mineral fertilizers and chemical plant protection products from the tax.
Basic components for intensive horticulture (agro-pallets, drip irrigation system units), feed and feed additives, equipment, packaging materials used in agriculture will be imported without payment of VAT.
Buildings, rooms and facilities, owned or temporarily used by an agricultural cooperative and a trade logistics center are exempt from property tax of 75 percent.
The adoption of the bill will lead to a fall in the price for these goods, since VAT will not be paid during import.
