Terms of gasoline supply from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan announced
Kazakhstan agreed to supply gasoline to Kyrgyzstan on condition of a ban on the export of Kyrgyz petroleum products. Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov announced today at a meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, earlier there was a shortage of gasoline in Kazakhstan, and in 2018, after upgrading of several refineries, surpluses formed in the country. The Kazakh side proposed to study the issue and sign an agreement on the supply of gasoline to Kyrgyzstan.
«The prime ministers discussed the issue in the autumn. As a result, the head of the Cabinet instructed the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic to work out the project. I do not participate in the negotiations, but as far as I know, the text of the agreement, on the proposal of the Kazakh side, contained restrictions on the export of our oil products,» Oleg Pankratov told.
Zhyrgalbek Sagynbaev, Deputy Chairman of the state committee, confirmed the data of the Minister of Economy.
«Negotiations are underway. One point is to be coordinated. We are in the finishing straight now,» he told.
