SCNS of Kyrgyzstan detains militant from Syria
Another member of an international terrorist organization has been detained in Kyrgyzstan. The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
In 2014, the 28-year-old man, studying in one of the religious institutions abroad, fell under the influence of recruiters of an international terrorist organization. He left for Syria together with his family.
«The detainee underwent combat training in one of the MTO camps and took part in an armed conflict against Syrian government forces. A criminal case was initiated under the article «Participation of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic in armed conflicts or military actions on the territory of a foreign state or undergoing terrorist training» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainee is in custody. The investigation is underway,» SCNS reported.
