3 million soms paid in January for travel along Bishkek - Osh road
In January 2019, the collection of toll for travel along Bishkek — Osh road at Sosnovka post increased by 402,000 soms thanks to an electronic barrier. The Ministry of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The automated system for accepting payments with the installation of the electronic barrier at Sosnovka post allowed minimizing human participation in receiving payments for travel along Bishkek-Osh road. At least 2.6 million soms were collected in January 2018, and in January 2019 — 3 million soms.
Sensors, video surveillance cameras have been installed at the post, which determine the dimensions of a vehicle, fee, its state number plate, automatically record the data and transmit them to the central server of the State Directorate of the Bishkek-Osh highway. State number plate and fee are displayed on the information board.
Similar equipment was installed at the 391st kilometer of the highway at Kara-Kul post.
