Russia suspends import of counterfeit sports shoes from Kyrgyzstan
A mobile group of Samara Customs Service has detained two trucks from Kyrgyzstan, transporting counterfeit sports shoes and a number of other goods. Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the Customs Department for Volga region of Russia.
«More than 6,000 pairs of men’s and women’s shoes with Nike, Fila, Ugg, Adidas, Under Armor logotypes, 1,800 respirators with 3M printed images, more than 4,000 cases for Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi smartphones were found. All the products had signs of counterfeit,» statement says.
Most of the sports shoes had Nike trademark.
«Representatives of the copyright holder of Nike trademark confirmed that the confiscated 4,882 pairs of shoes were not original. The damage inflicted on the owner of the brand is 40,286,300 rubles,» statement says.
The damage confirmation was received only from representatives of the copyright holder of Nike trademark.
«There is no answer on other brands so far. All goods were detained. The issue of opening a criminal case is being resolved,» the agency reported.
