Twenty percent of tourists visiting Uzbekistan are Kyrgyzstanis
At the end of 2018, Kyrgyzstanis accounted for 20 percent of the total volume of tourists who have visited Uzbekistan. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Komil Rashidov announced this today at a briefing.
According to him, last year, more than 5 million tourists visited the Republic of Uzbekistan. Compared with 2017, the figure has doubled. In particular, 1 million tourists from Kyrgyzstan visited the neighboring republic.
«Administrations of border regions, academic, cultural, youth and religious organizations, travel companies actively contact each other. In early April, Termez will host Bakhshi International Arts Festival. It is gratifying that Kyrgyz art representatives have already responded to the invitation of the Uzbek side,» Komil Rashidov stressed.
