New Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan to release about 350 convicts
About 350 convicts will be released in Kyrgyzstan in 2019 after humanization of the Criminal Code. The head of the Department for Punishment Execution and Special Records of the State Penitentiary Service of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Termechikov told at a press conference.
According to him, those who committed minor crimes and those convicted of relapse will be released.
«About nine people will be released from women’s prison, the minors will not be released, since each of them is convicted of especially grave crimes. In total, according to preliminary forecasts, about 350 people convicted of minor crimes will be released from the prisons,» Bakyt Termechikov told.
