Anti-Chinese appeals in Kyrgyzstan. People ignore planned rally
The rally, which the organizers planned to hold today at 10.00, has not yet begun. No one came to the protest against the Chinese expansion to support Kyrk Choro movement.
Only a few people gathered on the central Ala-Too square in Bishkek.
One of the organizers of the rally, Amanbol Babakulov, told reporters that people were afraid.
«Yesterday, everyone seemed ready to come. But many were pressured, so apparently they were afraid,» he said.
Amanbol Babakulov could not explain who frightened those willing to support the anti-Chinese sentiments of Kyrk Choro movement.
