Tablighi Jamaat member tries to enter Kyrgyzstan using fake passport
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek sentenced an active member of the religious organization Tablighi Jamaat to three and a half years in prison for forging documents and an attempt to illegally cross the border.
The court’s verdict states that the convicted citizen of Tajikistan spent nine years in Bangladesh, where he studied the basics and ideas of Tablighi Jamaat.
«The man forged a passport to return to his homeland through Kyrgyzstan. In September 2018, he bought an air ticket using the fake passport and arrived in Bishkek. The defendant was detained when passing passport control at a checkpoint at Manas airport,» the verdict states.
