First batch of Russian military hardware delivered to Kyrgyzstan
Ceremony of handing over military and technical assistance provided by the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan will take place today with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The military technical assistance was delivered in the framework of the implementation of the agreement between the governments of the two countries on the Provision of Technical Assistance in the Framework of Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
The military hardware was brought a month ago. These are machinery and technical support intended for equipping the Kyrgyz section of the EEU customs border with engineering equipment. The first batch consists of 123 units of automotive and engineering equipment: 108 vehicles of high mobility for transportation of people and goods; two towing vehicles; two excavator loaders; two truck cranes; four ambulances; five special purpose vehicles. Two drilling machines will be also delivered.
Delivery of the second batch is expected in the first quarter of 2019.
