Smog over Bishkek. Air pollution level in Ak-Orgo exceeded 18 times
Almaty activist Pavel Alexandrov brought sensors for Bishkek and tied them to a map. 24.kg news agency studied the readings of the certified sensors installed on some streets of the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
PM2.5 particles are airborne contaminants, which include both solid microparticles and tiny droplets of liquids. The smallest pieces of soot, asphalt and automobile tires, particles of mineral salts (sulfates, nitrates), heavy metal compounds (mainly oxides), biological pollutants (some allergens and microorganisms) also belong to PM2.5.
The current PM2.5 rate in Ak-Orgo residential area is 311 µg / m³, the average per day is 452 µg / m³. On Bokonbaev street, the current rate is 337 µg / m³, the average is 285 µg / m³.
In the Osh market area, on Beishenaliyeva Street, the current PM2.5 rate is 350 µg / m³, the average is 309 µg / m³.
The most favorable situation is in the 7th microdistrict. The current PM2.5 rate is 190 µg / m³, the average per day is 126 µg / m³.
