National Bank purchases gold for 10 billion soms since beginning of 2018
In 2018, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has bought monetary gold for 10 billion soms in the domestic market. The Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov told journalists.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan’s international reserves amount to $ 2,127 billion. At the same time, the National Bank continues to buy gold in the domestic market to replenish them. At present, the country’s reserves will be enough for 4 months of imports, which is fully consistent with international criteria.
«Remittances to Kyrgyzstan as a result of eight months continue to grow. The volume of remittances amounted to about $ 1.8 billion and grew by 4.6 percent,» Tolkunbek Abdygulov said.
