Criminal charges against Almambet Shykmamatov dropped
Criminal charges against the leader of Ata Meken parliamentary faction Almambet Shykmamatov were dropped. The deputy of the Parliament told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, there is an order from the investigators of the State Committee for National Security.
The Bishkek City Court returned the case against the deputy for further investigation, annulling the decision of the first instance court.
On February 17, 2017, a criminal case was opened against the former auditor of the Accounts Chamber Almambet Shykmamatov. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, he included his wife’s car in the tender, selling it to the winner of the tender, Barat Lux, for $ 13,500. The Prosecutor General’s Office believes that the real price of the car at that time was about $ 10,000. The court of first instance, convicting the defendant, sentenced Almambet Shykmamatov to a fine of 5 million soms.
