Kazakhstan opposes introduction of single digital currency of EEU
Kazakhstan does not support the introduction of a single digital currency of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Zakon.kz reported with reference to the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov.
The official noted that the issue was being worked out by the Russian National Payment Union, but this was not an official opinion of the Kremlin so far.
Timur Suleimenov stressed that Kazakhstan would not allow any other currency except its national on its territory. The minister believes that the currency is a symbol of national sovereignty.
